Write Something Newsletter

As I opened up my beautiful journal for the first time, I felt like I was planting a seed of inspiration + hope into the inky words on the page. The power of writing something down has its roots in the act of taking our thoughts out of our consciousness and penning them into something concrete. For me, that's my journal.

Even holding the leather in my hands, rubbing my fingers over the gilded words on the front, and the way my pen feels in my hands takes me into a different headspace.

To inaugurate this first newsletter and the beginning of 2024 for us here at Write Something and for us, including you, as a collective, I want to talk about intention.

Our intentions here at Write Something are around perseverance, authenticity, and building both a product and a community of people (YOU!) who we can create symbiotic relationships with. My personal intention for this first quarter of 2024 is to add one thing to my day-to-day that keeps me anchored in with this intention as well as within our journaling community.

Journaling is a reflective, personal time. This reflection can occur alone, but it can also be bolstered by the power of community and sharing the new paths we want to take. The spring shoots are coming up, and here in Austin, Texas, we’re getting more sunshine each day. The days are getting longer, and we are slowly getting closer to the solstice of spring, the vernal equinox.

So, our fellow writers, what are your intentions for this upcoming time? Let us know what you’re thinking, feeling, and intention-ing, during this time. Please share with us your most recent journal entries and the themes for you during this transitional time between winter and spring.

As always, there’s something powerful about writing things down. Until the next time, writers! Be well.
